Notice is hereby given that the
City of Jacksonville Downtown Investment Authority (“DIA”) is hosting a
hybrid virtual/in-person Lunch & Learn workshop meeting on Monday, May 16th, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Lynwood Roberts Room located on the first floor of City Hall and via the Zoom US computer application. This meeting is open to the public and all interested persons are invited to attend. The purpose of the meeting is for the DIA staff to provide information to City Council members and Council staff, and to answer their questions, regarding bills 2022-0372 and 2022-0383. Bill 2022-0372 seeks adoption of the updated Business Investment and Development Strategy and the Combined Northbank and Southside Community Redevelopment Area Plans, collectively the Business Investment and Development Plan (“BID Plan”). In conjunction with the BID Plan updates, the proposed legislation seeks to effectuate a budget transfer, authorize two new positions within DIA, and amend portions of the municipal code specific to Chapter 55 (Downtown Investment Authority) and Chapter 122 (Real Property). Bill 2022-0383 seeks to amend the Downtown Zoning Overlay to reflect a number of updates consistent with the BID Plan.
The DIA will be providing light refreshments but please bring your own lunch.
