As principal and founder of Studio9 Architecture, Mr. Davisson has been involved in a number of significant civic projects such as Unity Plaza, the University of North Florida Fine Arts Center and the Times-Union Performing Arts Center. As a key designer for the Jacksonville Federal Courthouse, he was also involved in the Initial Action Plan, River City Renaissance Plan, and the Better Jacksonville Plan. His career has been oriented towards residential housing with the 220 Mixed Use Development, the Cathedral Housing Master Plan and his most recent work, The Waterfall Condominiums, Jacksonville Beach’s last multi-family high rise.

Mr. Davisson is a recognized as talent in senior living design, having master planned communities in St. Augustine, Atlanta, West Palm Beach and Naples that continue the dignity and quality of life for our aging population. Mr. Davisson’s diverse project experience includes oceanfront multi-family housing, award winning commercial office designs, and master plans. His civic work is with the Jacksonville Zoo, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Public Improvements Master Plan and Public Pier design for The Shipyards in Downtown Jacksonville. His design of the new Hendrick’s Avenue Baptist Church sanctuary after the tragic fire has become a community milestone.

Born in Ohio, Mr. Davisson has lived in Luxembourg, Maine, and Louisiana and has been a Jacksonville resident for over 30 years. He received a B.S. and Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University with studies in Florence, Italy. As a business owner and active planner in downtown Jacksonville, Mr. Davisson has dedicated his career to architecture and an environment that has enhanced our sense of place, economy and quality of life with each opportunity.
