Notice is hereby given that the
Downtown Investment Authority (DIA) will co-host an in-person symposium on
Thursday, October 26th, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. – noon. The symposium will also be livestreamed via YouTube in the event the venue reaches capacity. It is anticipated that one or more DIA Board members and Downtown Development Review Board members will be in attendance.
ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
In cities across the U.S., COVID-related vacancies in the commercial office sector are yielding exciting new opportunities for enterprising developers via office-to-residential conversions. What is Jacksonville’s potential in this emerging trend? And what are the benefits and complexities involved in office-to-residential adaptive reuse? A panel of experts will explore those topics and answer audience questions during this special conversation in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. The event, believed to be the first of its type in Northeast Florida, features guests from markets on both the East and West coasts who will share their advice and broad-based experience in financing, developing, planning/permitting and constructing residential adaptations of office buildings.
