The Downtown Investment Authority took a number of steps Wednesday to set the stage for a new, $145 million corporate headquarters along the St. Johns River, including giving away land and approving two incentive packages.
The board voted unanimously to give Florida Blue a retention pond on Forest Street, clearing the way for the insurance company to sell its surface parking lot on Riverside Avenue, which is located across the street from Unity Plaza.
That parking lot is the proposed site for a company headquarters, a project for which the DIA unanimously approved $30 million in incentives.
