John Crescimbeni joined the DIA in August 2019 following the completion of his fifth term on the Jacksonville City Council. As a Council Member, he earned a reputation for always doing his homework and never missing a regular City Council meeting in his combined 18 plus years of service.

When not serving on the City Council (term limits), Mr. Crescimbeni always remained active in civic issues. He led several citizen initiatives to amend Jacksonville’s City Charter resulting in voter approval of amendments to prohibit billboards, implement term limits and establish minimum standards for tree protection.

A resident of Jacksonville since 1965, Mr. Crescimbeni is a graduate of The Bolles School, Florida Junior College (now Florida State College Jacksonville) and Jacksonville University. He is the former local franchisee of Hickory Farms, operating both permanent and seasonal store locations in Northeast Florida. Mr. Crescimbeni has served on the board of directors for a variety of charitable and civic organizations, including the Jacksonville Humane Society, Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library and Arlington's Tree Hill Nature Center.

Mr. Crescimbeni is married with three children and seven grandchildren.
