Ava Hill, a veteran of the United States Navy, joined the DIA in October 2023. Ava previously worked with the City of Jacksonville’s Municipal Code Compliance Division (MCCD) for seven years, serving in several different roles. During her last two years with the MCCD, she served as Code Compliance Administrative Supervisor. 

Before MCCD, Ava spent nine years with APD Urban Planning and Management LLC, a private neighborhood planning firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. Her responsibilities included everyday administrative tasks, demographic and neighborhood assessments, GIS mapping and community involvement.

Ava is a native of Jacksonville and is proud to call it home.
